About me
My full name is James Treleaven Bushill. I'm 23 years old.
Born just outside London, England, I was always a book lover. The power of cinema crept up on me in my teenage years. I studied film from age 17, starting my degree in London in 2005, graduating in Australia in 2008. After graduation, I took a professional script reading course at the Script Factory in London.
After tiring of English winters, I emigrated to Brisbane in March to move in with my fiancee. Since then, I've worked as a script assessor for Abbott Management, Fernleif Productions, the Nevada Film Festival and the Phoenix Film Foundation. I'm also volunteering as a script consultant on a low budget feature.
Whilst I've been able to find script assessment work since I graduated, the impact of the recession on industry funding has led to a drop in the number of conventional script development positions available. I want to be working with writers to help them to improve their work, not just critiquing it. That's why I've set up this service. I hope that you will find it useful.
