There are 3 types of report:

 

1. Script Coverage (1 page)

 

AUS $15

 

An assessment of the overall quality of the screenplay and key areas for improvement.

Focuses on Premise, Structure, Character.

Quick. Concise. Priceless.

 

 

 

 

2. Script Notes (2 pages)

 

AUS $22.50

 

One paragraph of strengths. 2 pages of weaknesses and possibilities for improvement.

The important information. Simple. To the point.

 

 

 

 

3. Script Development Report (3-4 pages)

 

AUS $30

 

Up to a page of synopsis. 2-3 pages of analysis; Divided into 7 sections:

Premise, Structure, Character, Dialogue, Visual Grammar and Summary.

Breaks the screenplay up into its constituent parts. Analyses it to death. Allows you to rebuild it stronger.

 

 

 

The prices are worked out on a rate of AUS$7.50 an hour. I think that's pretty reasonable. If you require more detailed development or another service, contact me and we can work something out. I'm particularly keen to work with low budget features, as low budget filmmakers often lack access to professional script development.

 

If you're a penniless student filmmaker or there's another reason why you simply can't afford the fee, detail it in your initial email to me. Then I can work out whether you're a chancer or an honest writer that deserves the help.
